Scarlett is SO sweet, gentle and quiet. She is an awesome brood-doe AND a spectacular milker. Scarlett is our mega producer, giving us over a gallon per day! She's a substantially boned doe with great body capacity, and yet is not one of those modern gigantic Nubians - she measures 27" tall. Scarlett's daughter, Loira, just started showing as a 2 year old first freshener and is placing well in her classes. Scarlett passes on her udder, which makes us VERY happy!
This udder is Helmstead Minis Clementine, one of Scarlett's F1 Mini-Nubian doelings from 2009. She had triplets for her FF, and raised those along with a Nigerian kid who's dam had rejected it AND milked a quart a day for the owners to use! Thanks to Sweetbriar Farm in GA for sending me a pic. |
